City of North Bend is a Safe Inclusive and Welcoming City

The North Bend City Council wishes to reaffirm that North Bend is an inviting, equitable, inclusive and safe community for all people.

The North Bend City Council recognizes and upholds the rights of individuals to be treated fairly and to live their lives with dignity and respect and free from discrimination or targeting because of any protected class.

Further, the Council believes in the dignity, quality and constitutional and civil rights of all people, and will not tolerate hate, intolerance, discrimination, harassment or any other behavior that creates fear, isolation or intimidation.

The City of North Bend is committed to protecting and serving everyone who resides in, works in or visits North Bend without discrimination based on race, religion, color, national origin, sex, age, military status, sexual orientation, physical, mental, or sensory ability or any other protected class.

North Bend’s vibrancy and sense of community is stronger as a result of our diversity and shared values of acceptance and respect and the Council supports these principles and strives to reflect them in all our actions as elected officials for North Bend.

We encourage all our citizens to support these principals and strive to embody these ideals every day as they interact with one another.
