City of North Bend officials invite the community to Torguson Park in downtown North Bend to celebrate the re-opening of the park. A ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate recently completed upgrades will be held at 5 p.m. on Thursday, September 21.

Come out and enjoy a BBQ with the Snoqualmie Police Department, play the walking path quiz contest, test out the new park features, visit with Eastside Fire and Rescue and witness the first pitch on the ball field by Mayor Ken Hearing.

In an effort to enhance the experience for our community, North Bend City Council undertook project improvements of approximately $1.7 million investment into the park. The project added a new restroom and concession building, relocated and improved the sports field, including eight new covered dugouts and benches, replaced old metal chain link fencing, and added a new trail for walking, running and biking around the park.

The funding for this project is from a grant received from Land & Water Conservation Fund for $127,350, a Little League donation of $80,000, an insurance damage claim of the previous bathroom and concession building of $87,000 and City funds of approximately $1.3 million. Construction began in October 2016 and was completed August 2017. Torguson Park is located at 750 East North Bend Way.
