Community Meeting to Discuss Tennant Trailhead Park Planning Set for January 24

The community is invited to an open house for developing a master plan for Tennant Trailhead Park from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., Wednesday, January 24 at the North Bend Train Depot. This is an opportunity for residents to provide input and suggestions for the master plan for the park, as well as learn more about the site, its history, potential uses and improvements, possible funding mechanisms for those improvements, volunteer opportunities for developing the park’s trails and improvements, and how anyone may get involved.

The 32-acre forested community park is located south of I-90 at exit 31 in the foothills of Rattlesnake Mountain. Thanks to a partnership between the City of North Bend, Si View Metropolitan Park District, King County and the Trust for Public Land, this land has been preserved for recreation and education for everyone to enjoy.

The community meeting is co-hosted by The City of North Bend and Si View Metropolitan Park District and will be held at North Bend Train Depot, 205 E. McClellan Street. For additional information or questions, please contact Lynn Hyde, lyhde@northbendwa.gov or call 425-888-7646.
