City to Hold Town Hall Meeting to Discuss Growth and Development on April 10

Join the City of North Bend for a Town Hall meeting on Tuesday, April 10 starting at 6 p.m. at Mount Si Senior Center, 411 Main Ave. South in North Bend. This meeting is open to the public and will provide information about Growth and Development in North Bend and answer questions residents may have.

“Many of our residents have questions and concerns about what the City is doing to balance land owners’ property rights to build against the community’s desire to preserve the small-town nature of our town,” David Miller, Community Economic Development Director, said. “Town Hall meetings provide an excellent opportunity to educate the community about this important topic and give them a chance to provide valuable feedback.”

The goal of the meeting is to give an overview on the Growth Management Act in Washington as a guide to manage growth and development as well as provide an overview of the State Environmental Policy Act, which provides regulations for protecting the environment. Participants will also learn about City Council’s efforts to preserve the rural nature of North Bend.
