Funds Available to Help Veterans and Seniors with Home Repairs

KC Housing.jpg
Major home repairs can be costly, especially for those living on fixed incomes. Veterans and seniors who own homes in North Bend may qualify for financial assistance for necessary health and safety, building preservation and energy-related repairs.

The King County Housing Repair Program provides 0% loans and deferred payment loans up to $25,000 to income eligible veterans and seniors. The program also provides funding for renters with a disability to make homes more accessible.

The focus of the program is for major repairs such as roof replacement, electrical repairs, installing a new septic system, furnace replacement and more. There are no monthly payments and the loan is repaid at the time the home is sold or title transferred, the home is refinanced or is no longer used as your primary residence. King County also offers a Matching Funds Program and Grants for those who qualify.

Guidelines and applications are available by contacting King County Housing Repair Program at 206-263-9095 or visit kingcounty.gov/housingrepair.
