Snoqualmie Valley Food Bank Switching to Grab and Go Model Next Week

Starting next week, the Snoqualmie Valley Food Bank will be moving to a "grab and go" model for people to get their food. They will be putting together bags/boxes of food consisting of both shelf stable and fresh foods for meals for a week. They will have a small group of volunteers to pack these boxes and using extra cleaning and safety precautions while doing so.

The food bank is open Mondays, for our Seniors only (65+) from 9:30 -11 a.m., and open to all from 11 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. Wednesdays, open to all, from 9:30 - 6:30 p.m. The food bank is located at 122 East 3rd Street, North Bend.

About Snoqualmie Valley Food Bank: The food bank plays a vital role in the work to end hunger in the Snoqualmie Valley. Each week, they rent a 26’ truck and a food bank volunteer drives to South Seattle and Kent to pick up food from their partner agencies, Food Lifeline and Northwest Harvest.  They also partner with Eastside Baby Corner and local grocery stores. Volunteers rescue close-to-date perishable and non-perishable food items for distribution.
