City to Hold Town Hall Meeting to Discuss Water Conservation Ordinance on May 26th

North Bend Council, Commissioners and staff invite the public to join a virtual Town Hall meeting at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, May 26th. The meeting will provide information about a proposed Water Conservation Ordinance (WCO) in North Bend. The City is required in the next round of comprehensive plan updates to include a Sustainability Element which must incorporate water conservation measures.

“The State Department of Ecology and State law require public outreach to discuss the Water Supply Plan in a public forum with feedback from the community,” David Miller, City Administrator said.

The meeting will consist of staff presenting the Water Supply Plan, the Water Conservation Ordinance (including recent amendments), strategies for reducing water loss, incentives to help fund water conservation and public outreach efforts to encourage water conservation.  Gray and Osborne, the City’s consultants on the Water Supply Plan, will be present. The meeting will provide an opportunity for the public to provide feedback and ask questions.

This will be a virtual meeting in conformance with the Governor’s Stay Home, Stay Healthy Order.
