The North Bend City Council will hold a public hearing – November 17th at 7PM - to receive comments on a development agreement (DA) that would allow a marijuana retail store at 43514 SE North Bend Way.
Under the City’s zoning regulations, marijuana retail is not permitted at this location but could be considered by the City Council subject to a Development Agreement, reviewed pursuant to the process in North Bend Municipal Code Chapter 18.27.
The proposed project would remodel the existing single-family home at the above location into a commercial building to house the marijuana retail store, and provide associated site improvements including parking, landscaping, stormwater controls and street frontage improvements.
If approved the project would be subject to provisions identified in the DA and subject to required permits and approvals.
This will be the second public hearing on the Marijuana Retail Store Development Agreement, with the North Bend Planning Commission holding a hearing on August 13, 2020.
After the Planning Commission recommended approving the Development Agreement, the City Council expressed a desire to also hear directly from the public on this matter before making its decision.
