Blue Friday Food Drive Hand-off Crosses Goal Line in North Bend

On Friday, November 6th, Republic Services made a special Blue Friday Hand-off to the Snoqualmie Valley Food Bank courtesy of a food drive sponsored by local business, Ameriprise Financial.

According to Republic Services Municipal Relationships Manager Russell Joe, Ameriprise Advisors Jeff and Taylor Mitchell (also a Mount Si Football Coach) helped coordinate the food donation “Blue Friday Hand-off” at Huxdotter Coffee in downtown North Bend.

Responding to an increased need brought on by the coronavirus pandemic, Republic Services also played a part by engineering the food drive at one of its Eastside locations, filling a station wagon with donations and then helping carry them across the goal line to those in need in the Snoqualmie Valley.

Russell Joe commented, “Republic Services works diligently to support the local communities we serve.  From our drivers down to our support personnel, we believe in rolling up our sleeves and reaching out to help.”
