Eastside Fire & Rescue Annual Food & Toy Drive goes Virtual this Year

EFR holiday truck

Each year, Eastside Fire & Rescue partners with the Eastside Firefighters Local Union 2878 and the Eastside Firefighters Benevolent Fund on several fundraisers. The Fill the Truck Food Drive and Reindeer Engine Toy Drives have always been a wonderful way for local firefighters to connect with community members during the holiday season.

Historically, the community has responded by donating over 30,000 pounds of food and thousands of dollars in toys, clothing and cash donations each holiday season. These donations directly help the Issaquah Food & Clothing Bank, Snoqualmie Valley Food Bank and Hopelink Carnation to meet the needs of fellow community members.

This year, Eastside firefighters remain dedicated to serving the community and continuing the tradition of giving while also keeping community members safe. With safety in mind, donations will be accepted online for the 2020 Holiday Food & Toy Drive.

Community members can participate HERE or by texting “GIVE” to 339-229-5551

Eastside Fire & Rescue Fire Station 83 located at 3425 Issaquah Pine Lake Rd. SE in Sammamish, will also turn into a holiday drive-thru of lights and apparatus to raise awareness of firefighters' fundraising efforts. Additional details regarding drop-off times will be distributed soon.
