Starting March 1, 2021, Republic Waste will launch new garbage/recycle collection routes in North Bend, with approximately 50% of North Bend customers being assigned new service days.
Republic Services said the updated service schedule will increase efficiency and balance existing North Bend routes – resulting in less time that trucks are on City roads. Republic will also be adding new routes to serve the City’s growing population.
If your collection day will change, Republic Services will notify you of your new service day soon. The City was not involved in determining the new routes.
Republic Services will conduct an outreach plan for North Bend customers, including:
- February 3rd: Notification of the upcoming changes posted on the North Bend Republic Services website HERE.
- February 15th: Customers will receive a postcard change notification in the mail. Customers with an email on file will also receive email notification this week.
- February 22nd: Customers will receive an automated phone call reminding them of their pickup day change.
- February 28th – March 4th: The day before customers’ new service date, they will receive an additional automated phone call reminding them to place their containers out on their new service day.
Republic Services will not impose any extra collection charges on North Bend customers during the first two weeks of March in the event a customer misses their new scheduled service day.
