To create more awareness and help establish additional Safe Place locations, Mayor Rob McFarland has proclaimed March 21 - 27th National Safe Place Week in North Bend.
Safe Place is a program that quickly connects homeless and runaway youth (ages 12-17) to critical services. Safe Place launched in 1983 and now has 140 programs in operation across the country, including King County and the Snoqualmie Valley. The program has helped nearly 400,000 youth over the past 38 years.
Mayor Rob encourages residents interested in learning more about the Safe Place program or volunteering as a youth mentor to contact firstname.lastname@example.org
