The City of North Bend Planning Commission will host a public hearing on Thursday, May 13th at 7PM to receive public comments on a proposed Development Agreement (DA) for a potential mixed-use Senior Housing project.
The project is proposed for the western portion of downtown – on two land parcels adjacent to the South Fork Snoqualmie River and along W. North Bend Way. The site is located between the Snoqualmie River and the Pour House.
Development agreements can be considered by the North Bend City Council subject to the process outlined in the City’s Municipal Code Chapter 18.27. The purpose of the senior housing project development agreement is to allow an expanded height limit of 43 feet in consideration of the site’s slope topography, and in exchange for designating 10% of the project’s units as affordable housing. Per North Bend Municipal Code, the standard height limit at this site is currently 35 feet.
The project is a 60-unit mixed-use senior housing development proposal that includes ground floor commercial/restaurant space, underground/basement-level parking, and three floors of senior housing apartments,10% of which will be dedicated affordable to those making at or below 80% of area median income.
