Blues Walk Happens this Saturday, October 16th

If you see lots of your neighbors downtown this weekend, enjoying live music, it’s because North Bend Blues Walk is back! The popular one-day blues festival happens Saturday, October 16, 2021, from 6PM to midnight. One ticket gets attendees into 17 North Bend venues featuring 22 bands and more than 100 musicians. Valley Center Stage Ribbon Cutting Ceremony this Saturday, October 16th  

Valley Center Stage and the Sallal Grange have partnered to create VCS' beautiful new home for live theater in North Bend! Join them for a ribbon cutting ceremony on Saturday, October 16 at 5:30PM to celebrate these new beginnings. Located at 1060 Stilson Ave SE.

Indigenous Peoples’ Day

This past Monday was Indigenous Peoples’ Day, which was commemorated by the City. The best way to learn about Tribes and Tribal heritage is from the Tribes themselves. Visit https://snoqualmietribe.us/ to learn about the Snoqualmie Tribe and its unwavering stewardship of Snoqualmie Valley lands and waterways.

October 19th City Council Meeting

Join City staff and elected officials for the Oct. 19th City Council meeting at 7PM. Click the linked headline to view the full agenda packet which includes instructions to access the virtual Zoom meeting.

Meet up with the Mayor for Coffee and a Chat

On Wednesday, October 20th at 10AM, community members are invited to join North Bend Mayor Rob McFarland for a cup of coffee at Trail Youth Coffee Home, located at 226 E. North Bend Way. Bring your questions and chat over coffee with Mayor Rob. This casual setting provides the perfect opportunity to get to know your Mayor while discussing City-related topics that are important to you.

Halloween Train

Autumn is upon us and that means the Halloween Train is running the weekends of October 16-17, 23-24 & 30-31! Put on those costumes and enjoy a two-hour fall decorated excursion through the Snoqualmie Valley. Click the linked headline for details and tickets.

Snoqualmie Police Take Back Unwanted Prescription Drugs, October 23rd 

On Saturday, October 23rd, from 10AM  to 2PM the Snoqualmie Police Department and the U. S. Drug Enforcement Administration will give the public an opportunity to rid their homes of potentially dangerous expired, unused, and unwanted prescription drugs.  Bring pills for disposal to North Bend City Hall.  (Only pills or patches are accepted.)  The service is free and anonymous, no questions asked. 

Boo! Trick-or-Treat Street is Back – Saturday, October 30th

Looking for some Halloween fun? North Bend’s popular Trick- or -Treat Street returns for spirited family fun on Saturday, October 30, 2021, from 2 – 6PM. After a one-year pandemic-related hiatus, Trick-or-Treat Street is back and bigger than ever, with over 40 participating downtown businesses, live music, LOTS of candy and ample time for community re-engagement.

New King County Health Order: Vaccination or Negative Covid Test Verification Starts Oct. 25th

A new King County Health Order requiring some local businesses to verify Covid-19 vaccination, or a negative test begins on October 25th. The new order applies to bars and restaurants (indoor), indoor entertainment and recreational events or establishments, outdoor events with more than 500 people. Remember, our local businesses are required to adhere to this new order, along with the mask order. We encourage you to support local, including this new County-mandated requirement.  

FREE Pet Vaccine Clinic, October  24th

Mark your calendar for this upcoming Vaccine Clinic for your furry family members. Thank you to Valley Animal Partners for putting on this event.

Reminder: October 16th Yard Waste Recycling Event CANCELLED

An important reminder that the City has cancelled the final date – October 16th – of the 2021 Yard Waste Recycling Program due to budget constraints of the annual program funded by King County. This recycling program should return in April 2022.

Reminder: Please Do Not Blow or Rake Leaves into Streets

As the leaves fall, our Public Works Team asks for residents’ help – please do not blow or rake leaves into the streets. This has occurred in past years and those piles of leaves left in streets near sidewalks and storms drains can 1) block those storm drains and 2) clog and damage the City’s street sweeper. Please deposit those leaves into yard waste containers for proper disposal and composting.

Thursday Food Trucks Back at Si View Park

Si View Park’s popular Thursday food trucks have returned. Grab the family, stroll to the park and enjoy some tasty food from 4-7PM. Trucks are different each Thursday. Visit the Si Park Facebook page for schedule.
