Quarterly Message from the Mayor  Mayor McFarland's 1st Quarter Message from the Mayor showcases accomplishments thus far in 2022, while also looking forward to upcoming projects and goals.

A Community Call for Collaboration: Join in on North Bend Beautification Days, April 22nd – 23rd The concept is simple: grab some gloves and bags for recycling or trash and head out into your neighborhood or to your favorite park, river spot, or area you think needs some extra care – and help tidy up our City.

Mayor McFarland Proclaims April 22nd Earth Day! Mayor McFarland is proud to proclaim April 22nd as Earth Day! Earth Day is a valuable opportunity to renew our commitment to preserving and protecting our Earth through community service, responsible stewardship, and daily practices. Mayor Rob read the proclamation aloud at North Bend Beautification Days today, April 22nd, a city event held in honor of Earth Day, with community organizations, City Council members and staff in attendance. North Bend Yard Waste Recycling Program: April 23rd! Special Recycling Event: May 14th!  The 2022 North Bend Yard Waste Recycling program begins Saturday, April 23rd. This annual recycling program is open to North Bend residents and property owners on select Saturdays, April through October, from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the North Bend Public Works building, 1155 E. North Bend Way. 

The City of North Bend and the Snoqualmie Tribe’s annual spring Special Recycling Event happens Saturday, May 14th, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Snoqualmie Middle School (SMS), 9200 Railroad Ave SE. This year’s event also includes free giveaways with a limited number of prizes for attendees. 

Park Street Overlay Project Begins April 22nd Today, April 22nd, Hos Brothers performed a pavement overlay on Park Street adjacent to the Cade Vu Townhomes project. Once the temporary eastbound Park Street closure ends on Friday by noon, drivers can expect minor delays with rough road conditions for approximately one week from April 22nd  through April 29th.

Recognizing Service Above Self, with Snoqualmie Valley Rotary The Rotary Club of Snoqualmie Valley honors students who actively demonstrate service above self. On Thursday, April 21st, North Bend Mayor McFarland and Snoqualmie Mayor Ross joined Rotarians in celebrating Mount Si High School seniors Isabella Mudd, Dylan Schade, Sarah Berger and Abigail Gardner at the Mt. Si Senior Center. Congratulations, and good work! 

Eastside Fire and Rescue Open House Events and Community Survey Eastside Fire and Rescue (ESF-R) held a welcoming Community Open House this week, at Station 87. Residents visited, connected, and got firsthand tours through the station and fire trucks! ESF-R is offering more Community Open House events on the eastside, and also invites you to take their Community Survey. Learn more HERE
