In recent weeks, the Snoqualmie-North Bend Police Department has seen an increase in vehicle prowls in North Bend and Snoqualmie. A majority of these incidents were crimes of opportunity, involving unlocked vehicles with visible items located inside.
Vehicle prowls are one of the most common and preventable crimes that occur in the cities of North Bend and Snoqualmie. The Snoqualmie-North Bend Police Department would like to remind residents of easy steps they can take to help prevent vehicle prowls, along with potential vehicle damage and stolen property.
Tips to Prevent Vehicle Prowls
“Small habits can make a big difference when it comes to preventing property crime,” explained SPD Police Chief Perry Phipps. “Locking vehicles and removing valuables are key preventative steps residents can take to reduce vehicle prowls in our communities.”
Residents are encouraged to call 9-1-1 if they notice suspicious activity or witness a car prowl.
