Old Si View watermain breaks near Riverside Dr. and SE Orchard Dr. repaired

Watermain work, 10-1-22

On October 1, City of North Bend Public Works crews completed repairs to two breaks in a watermain near the intersection of Riverside Drive Southeast and Southeast Orchard Drive in the Old Si View neighborhood. The crew began repair shortly after 9:30 a.m. and completed work at approximately 1:30 p.m. this afternoon.

Water service to affected households in the area has been fully restored. For those who experienced intermittent shut-off:

  • Run water through outside faucets for a minute or two. This will help push the air out of your household systems;
  • The intermittent shut-off may have stirred up sediment in household hot water tanks. If so, water might look dirty for a short period of time. Residents may let it sit while it resettles. Another option is to may remove the aerator on the faucet and run it through so that it does not clog.

The City thanks residents for their patience as crews worked to repair the two breaks. To report an immediate concern, please call (425) 736-7697 (you may need to leave a voice message; be sure to include your name and address).
