Stay in the know: City of North Bend Urges Residents to Sign Up for ALERT King County

ALERT KC

ALERT King County is a public information and emergency notification system that reaches citizens wherever they are and on any device. The City of North Bend encourages all residents to register for ALERT to receive important information about significant local events or emergency situations via telephone, text and email.

ALERT can also be used to notify residents of situations such as evacuations, floods, road alerts or a chemical release. For geographic specific alerts, residents may enter their home and work addresses into the King County database. Registration is free and confidential.

To sign up for ALERT, visit www.kingcounty.gov/depts/emergency-management/alert-king-county and click “Subscribe to ALERT King County.”

Signing up for the ALERT is just one important step in preparing for emergencies. The Washington State Emergency Resource Guide provides guidance in preparing for floods, storms, power outages, and earthquakes, as well as suggested lists for emergency and medical supplies. The Resource Guide also provided guidance for protecting vulnerable populations such as children, the elderly, those with special needs, and pets. Download a PDF HERE.
