On Saturday, September 23, residents may notice more runners in downtown North Bend, as the Mt. Si Hill Climb Trail Run returns for their “Vert Running Series.” The event runs from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Approximately 200 runners are expected at the event that will utilize city sidewalks in the vicinity of West Second Street and Main Avenue North. The Mt. Si Hill Climb will start and finish at Pro Ski and Mountain Service, located at 112 West Second Street. The route takes runners from West Second Street to Main Avenue North, and then follows the Snoqualmie Valley Trail and the Mount Si Trail systems.
The event does not include any city street closures, only the use of sidewalks and associated crosswalks until participants reach the trail system. The trails will remain open to other users during the event.
