- A Public Hearing regarding school impact fees

- A Resolution authorizing the adoption of the Shoreline and critical Areas Elements to 2024 Comprehensive Plan
Meet up with Mayor McFarland at Huxdotter Coffee on Saturday: Stop by on September 30, between 10 and 11 a.m. to say hello and connect on all things North Bend while enjoying local coffee and treats.
The City’s free Shred-It event returns Saturday: On September 30, from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. residents can bring un-needed documents to North Bend City Hall for safe and secure shredding. The Shred-It event is open to all North Bend residents. Individuals can bring up to two file boxes or three grocery bags of documents.
A Public Hearing regarding school impact fees is scheduled for October 3: Written comments may be accepted until 4:30 p.m. Monday, October 2, or in person at the hearing. Email written comments to the City Clerk: soppedal@northbendwa.gov, or mail written comments to her: 920 SE Cedar Falls Way.
City Council approves the North Bend Housing Action Plan and presents Council’s Preamble: At the September 19 City Council meeting, Council approved the Housing Action Plan and presented a preamble documenting a desire to achieve realistic, sustainable, equitable housing goals as part of the GMA, while also expressing concern about the State’s affordability targets.
City Councilmember Loudenback resigns, City will seek to fill position this fall: At the July 18 North Bend City Council meeting, Mayor McFarland regretfully accepted the resignation of Councilmember Ross Loudenback, which became effective August 31, 2023. In October, the City will issue a notice seeking applicants to fill the vacated Council Position No. 4.

Celebrate Arbor Day in North Bend: Mayor McFarland will be proclaiming Saturday, October 7 as Arbor Day in North Bend! Please join community for a special tree planting event at E.J. Roberts Park, and prior to the tree planting, enjoy a local “Oaktoberfest” event in the park.
Fall Food Truck series, every Thursday at Si View Park: Stop by Si View Park between 4:30 and 7 p.m. each Thursday, and enjoy dinner in the park, with a different food truck each week.
