Si View Metropolitan Parks District and the City of North Bend have partnered to create Tennant Trailhead Park, located just south of Interstate 90, Exit 31 on Ribary Way. Construction of the parking area and restrooms are set to begin in early October, with an expected completion date of April 2024 after which, the park will officially open to the public.
The forested 32-acre park will offer trails for mountain biking and hiking as well as a picnic area and viewpoints. The trail system will be accessible to bikers and hikers of many skill levels, with family-focused mountain biking trails that are easy and short enough for beginners yet provide progression through a future connection to Rattlesnake Ridge, Tiger Mountain, and beyond. The tentative timeline for construction of the connection trails is 2024 to 2026.
These beginner trails will be a welcome addition to our local trail inventory and will be accessible by bike from many North Bend neighborhoods. Tennant Trailhead Park will preserve most of the site’s native trees and shrubs and all nearby wetlands and streams.
Evergreen Mountain Bike Alliance constructed the trail portion of Phase 1. The park will remain closed until construction is complete. Si View Metropolitan Parks District and the City will announce as soon as the site opens for public access. Si View Metro Parks and the City thank you for your patience and understanding as construction continues.
