Tennant Trailhead Park Master Plan Public Meeting and Hearing Set for January 30th

Community members are invited to a public meeting and hearing on the Tennant Trailhead Park Master Plan Review at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, January 30th at Si View Community Center Classroom. The Master Plan for the future park is nearly complete.

This meeting provides an opportunity for questions and answers as well as time for comments. As a part of the meeting, the North Bend Parks Commission will hold a Public Hearing to receive comments on the plan.

This 32-acre property, located on SW Ribary Way south of I-90 off Exit 31, will provide a trailhead for a future trail connection to the larger Rattlesnake Mountain area, as well as on-site bicycle and pedestrian trails, a parking lot, restroom, and picnic facilities. The draft Master Plan describes the proposed improvements to the park and provides a conceptual site plan and has been based on public input received at prior public meetings. The draft master plan may be viewed online this Friday, January 18, at

City Council approved funds to be allocated to the trail system at Tennant Trailhead Park for design and construction. The recently passed park district capital bond also provides funding for trail design and construction of phase 1 trail system. Additional funding will be sought through grants. King County Parks has dedicated funding for a parking lot and associated amenities.

The next step for the Master Plan is approval and adoption by both Si View Commission and City Council of North Bend. For additional project information, please contact Minna Rudd at Si View Metro Parks 425-831-1900 or email
