Si View to Hold Meeting to Discuss Aquatics Facility Options

The community is invited to a meeting to discuss options for the aquatics facility at 7:00 p.m. on January 31st at the Si View Community Center, 400 SE Orchard Drive. Si View Metropolitan Parks is conducting a feasibility study to explore options for expansion of the existing aquatics facility or development of a new facility.

There will be three public engagements during the planning process for the aquatic center, consisting of two public meetings and a survey.

The first public meeting will be a workshop with two goals: to confirm community support for a new Aquatic Center and to hear community opinions about the future location and amenities that they want for the new facility.

A survey will be the second engagement, to ask the community about their willingness to support the ideas that come out of the workshop. Look for an online survey in February on the Si View Metro Parks website.

The final public workshop will encourage participants to weigh in on alternative options and help create an initial design for the facility.

Public input gathered throughout the three engagements will help determine the options and inform the analytical work needed to plan the future aquatic center.
