Cautious Driving Suggested Due to Street Damage from Snow

pothole

Cold weather along with snowplows, loaders, dump trucks, backhoes and other heavy machinery used to clear snow over the last two weeks has taken a toll on our streets. Damage includes potholes, curb displacement and knocked over signs.

Some of the potholes caused by the snowstorms have been filled, however, there are others that still need repaired. Until repairs can be made, the City of North Bend urges citizens to drive extra carefully.

“Public safety is our main concern,” said Captain Nick Almquist with Snoqualmie Police Department. “Please be mindful of snow removal and pothole filling efforts on streets and private lots and remember to take extra time using your mirrors and looking before moving.”

If you notice a pothole that you would like to report, please call the Public Works Department at 425-888-0486 or email Carrie Smith at csmith@northbendwa.gov
