Sidewalks are a necessary pathway
and can be difficult for people, especially those with disabilities, to
navigate when covered by snow and the ice. While the City of North Bend is
responsible for maintaining streets and public walkways, property owners and
tenants are responsible for the sidewalks abutting properties or businesses.
The City encourages all residents
and business tenants to clear snow and ice from sidewalks on their property to
provide a clear walking path for pedestrians. This will help keep pedestrians
from walking along roadways and creating a safety hazard.
City Council and staff thank you
for your assistance in keeping our walkways safe for our community.
