City Seeking Applicants for Vacancies on Planning Commission

The City of North Bend is seeking applicants for two vacancies on the Planning Commission, both terms set to expire May 11, 2023.

The Planning Commission consists of seven members with terms of four years. The Commission is an advisory body to the City Council that prepares and recommends coordinated plans, regulations, and restrictions for the physical development of the City. The Commission typically meets on the 2nd and 4th Thursday of each month at 7 p.m.

NBMC Chapter 2.28 states “Four of the Commissioners shall reside inside the city limits while three may reside inside the 98045 zip code”.  The open positions may be filled by a citizen who resides either within the city limits, or within the 98045 zip code.

Anyone interested in serving the Community on this important Commission is urged to submit an application to the City of North Bend, Attn: City Clerk, PO Box 896, North Bend, WA 98045. The deadline for submission is April 5, 2019.
