National Prescription Drugs Take Back Day is Saturday, April 27, 2019 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Community members may drop off unused or expired prescription drugs during these hours at City Hall, located at 211 Main Avenue North.

National Take-Back Day is a safe, convenient, and responsible way to dispose of unused or expired prescription drugs. During the last take back program in October 2018, citizens brought in 27 pounds of prescription medications to North Bend City Hall.

According to the 2016 National Survey on Drug Use and Health, 6.2 million Americans misused controlled prescription drugs. The study shows that most abused prescription drugs were obtained from family and friends, often from the home medicine cabinet.

This program offers an opportunity to help prevent drug addiction and overdose deaths.

If you miss the April 27th Drug Take Back Day or need to dispose of unused or expired prescription medications earlier, residents may drop off prescription drugs at the Snoqualmie Police Department during business hours from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
