City staff drafted a water conservation ordinance and presented it to Council during the first of two scheduled public hearings on Tuesday, April 2nd at the regular Council meeting. The second public hearing will be Tuesday, May 7th. Council meetings are held the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of each month, starting at 7 p.m. at the Mount Si Senior Center.
The City is suggesting the WCO because conservation of natural resources is the right thing to do. Secondly, the WCO meets the City’s Community Vision Statement, which includes “the vision the residents of North Bend put forth… is one of preservation and enhancement.”
Staff drafted a list of Frequently Asked Questions to help inform our citizens of the reasoning behind the proposed ordinance. Please click on the link to view these questions prior to the May 7th public hearing. North Bend citizens may comment on the proposed ordinance during the public hearing portion of the meeting.
