Clearing, grading and construction of the River Run Apartments, which was scheduled to begin this week, has been delayed by the developer in anticipation of a very wet season. The project is firmly slated to move forward in the spring, according to Project Manager, Holly Brown with North Bend Associates - River Run.
The 5.90-acre site is located on the northeast corner of the 436th Avenue SE and SE 136th Street intersection near I-90, exit 32. The project consists of 11 apartment buildings for a total of 128 apartment units, plus a clubhouse / office building. This project includes 28 affordable or workforce housing units.
Additionally, a roundabout at the 436th and 136th intersection and site frontage sidewalks will be constructed to connect to a recently constructed sidewalk in front of the Chinook Lumber site. This roundabout will also create safer and better traffic flow for pedestrians, bicyclists and motor vehicles.
The apartments are expected to be move-in ready in 2021.
