[ARCHIVED] Seeking community input on a concept to rejuvenate a property downtown

302 W North Bend WY Survey

Locals drive past 302 W North Bend Way every day. Located on the corner of North Bend Way and Sydney Avenue, the property consists of a 1,400 square foot building and is surrounded by asphalt. What was, before 2021, a gas station and convenience store, today is a vacant lot with potentially contaminated soil from its previous use.

As a highly visible property in our downtown corridor and near a gateway to our city, 302 W North Bend Way has the potential to meet a variety of community needs, such as an expanded food bank and affordable housing, but we need your help! Please participate in an online survey to share ideas that you think will make the redevelopment of 302 W North Bend Way a welcoming community asset.

Take the survey HERE. Learn more about the redevelopment concept by visiting the 302 W North Bend Way Redevelopment webpage. We value our residents’ input and would like to know your thoughts and preferences regarding the future use of this highly visible and important property.

The survey will close on August 9, 2024. For questions, please contact Economic Development Manager James Henderson by email, at jhenderson@northbendwa.gov or by phone, at (425) 888-7685.

Regarding the environmental remediation needs of this property, the City is engaging with the Center for Creative Land Recycling and the Washington State Department of Ecology. However, more work is needed to ensure that 302 W North Bend Way’s environmental conditions are suitable for redevelopment while also protecting the nearby Snoqualmie River and our community.
