Shorelines from the Middle and South Fork Snoqualmie River make up a special part of our community, and on Wednesday, February 26, we invite you to join city staff and the City’s consultant, Facet, for a public workshop to discuss the new North Bend Shoreline Public Access and Trail Plan!
The Shoreline Public Access and Trail Plan is a project that, once complete, will share a cohesive network of access points and trails, with the goal of enhancing recreation opportunities for residents and visitors while protecting the shoreline from recreational use impacts and degradation. The Workshop will be located at the North Bend City Hall, from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
This project is a result of a Shoreline Public Access and Trail Plan Project grant by the Department of Ecology. The grant works to support planning and planning related efforts that advance climate resilience, improve the implementation of Shoreline Master Program (SMP), and support local shoreline planning priorities. To learn more about this project and the shoreline, visit the City’s SMP webpage.
Of note, the workshop will be immediately followed by a separate public workshop also at City Hall, planning for a public plaza at the terminus of Ballarat Avenue between the North Bend Bar and Grill and the North Bend Shell Station, which will run from 7:00 p.m. to 8 p.m.
