The City of North Bend, the City of Snoqualmie, and the Snoqualmie Police Department that serves both cities are committed to serving and protecting all members of our community regardless of immigration status. 

Both Washington Law (Keep Washington Working Act) and Snoqualmie Police Department Policy prohibit our officers from assisting U.S. Immigration and Custom Enforcement (ICE) or any other federal law enforcement entity engaged in federal immigration enforcement. Federal immigration enforcement is not the function of local law enforcement and local officers are prohibited from acting based on a person’s immigration status. 

Officers will not ask about your immigration status during an investigation, whether you are a victim or a suspect. 

Should anyone in our communities observe a situation that creates public safety concerns, please call 911 and report it. The Snoqualmie Police Department will respond to ensure public safety, keeping in mind that ICE’s authority arises under federal law.

Winter weather in the Snoqualmie Valley often brings our community ample amounts of rain, wind, snow and sometimes ice. Pinpointing the severity of these events well ahead of time is challenging. While the forecast can – and often does – change, below are several tools and resources so that you can be prepared and stay informed.   

• Get localized forecasts and weather advisories: Visit www.weather.gov 
• Review the 2025/2026 Snowplow Route Map: To understand the order in which city streets are plowed, be sure to review the Snowplow Route Map. Priority 1, 2, and 3 routes and priority access point locations are noted.
• Check out the Snowplowing and Street Treatment FAQ: This handy webpage covers a wide array of popular questions residents have when it comes to plowing specifics, the use of de-icer and salt, and more.
• Check out the Snow Removal Policy: Here, you can learn about code requirements, businessowner/homeowner responsibilities, and more.
• Email the City with questions during winter weather events: If you have a non-emergency question about winter weather – be it snowplowing, sandbag access, or debris collection, please email EM@northbendwa.gov. 
• Call the City during a stormwater emergency: During regular office hours, call the North Bend Public Works Department, at (425) 888-0486. In the event of an after-hours stormwater emergency, call (425) 736-7697.
• Access sandbags in the event of localized, residential flooding: The City collaborates with King County’s Flood Control District, and as a member, it serves as a Sandbag Center year-round. For residents concerned about localized street flooding impacting their homes and businesses, the Public Works Department has sand and sandbags available during regular business hours, Monday through Thursday from 8:30 to 4:30 p.m., and Fridays from 8 to 12 p.m. Please enter through the North Bend Way entrance, located at 1155 E North Bend Way, and do remember to bring a shovel!
• Stay up to date on local public transportation routes If public transportation is part of your daily commute, sign up for Snoqualmie Valley Transportation rider alerts. 
• Sign up for King County ALERT: Stay on top of weather alerts by signing up for ALERT King County, a public information and emergency notification system that reaches citizens wherever they are and on any device. Receive important information about significant local events such as flooding or other emergency situations via telephone, text, or email.
• Sign up for Emergency Alerts via Notify Me: Notify Me is a local City opt-in service that allows you to subscribe to a range of topics so that you can pick and choose subjects that you care about most, such as emergency alerts.
