The City of North Bend is committed to a healthy community where all people thrive. Each year, the City allocates human services funding to nonprofit organizations that serve the North Bend community. The City is now accepting grant funding requests from local human services organizations as part of the City’s 2024 budget cycle.
The Human Services Grant helps to ensure that the following human services priorities in North Bend are met:
- Basic needs
- Quality behavioral healthcare for all
- Healthy children, youth, and families
- Healthy seniors
- Safety from violence and abuse
Human services funding recommendations for the 2024 budget will be based on requests for funding received by our local nonprofit partners. If you are a nonprofit 501c3 human services agency that serves North Bend, we invite you to apply for grant funding.
Application requests must be received by September 1, 2023. To request an application and find out more about the process, please contact Administrative Services Director Lisa Escobar, at lescobar@northbendwa.gov.
Human services grants are funded by the general fund, from monies which remain for discretionary funding after the base budget for 2024 has been met. Applicants that are awarded grant funding will be notified after City Council deliberation on the 2024 budget in late November or early December 2023.
