It's finally time for the opening of Tennant Trailhead Park! This exciting addition to our local park system is possible thanks to a strong partnership with Si View Metropolitan Park District, King County Parks, and the City of North Bend, and with financial support from the Recreation and Conservation Office administered Land and Water Conservation Fund grant, King County Conservation Futures grant, Trust for Public Lands, Snoqualmie Tribe and the Evergreen Mountain Bike Alliance.
On Friday, April 19 at 12 p.m., the City and Si View Metro Parks are co-hosting a ribbon cutting ceremony with project partners, and we invite you to join the celebration!
The park officially opens to the public on April 20. Tennant Trailhead Park, located at 12201 West Ribary Way in North Bend, will provide a network of family-focused mountain biking and hiking trails that are easy and short enough for absolute beginners, yet provide progression, and through a future connection to Rattlesnake Mountain Scenic Area and Raging River State Forest, access to more advanced trail experiences. These new trails are a welcome addition to the local inventory, and best of all, reachable on foot or on a bike from many local neighborhoods.
It's good to note that a permanent restroom building is scheduled for delivery in May. In the meantime, a portable toilet is available onsite. A short temporary park closure is expected once the permanent building is delivered.
Happy trails!
