Ensuring everyone has equal access to sidewalks, curb ramps, crosswalks, and other pedestrian facilities within the public right-of-way is a key component to our highly livable, highly walkable community here in North Bend. As part of the City’s ongoing efforts to improve access to public right-way, the City is creating an Americans with Disabilities (ADA) Transition Plan, and we need your help!
Please check out the ADA Transition Plan Online Open House to learn more and participate in a brief survey to report specific right-of-way barriers you have encountered within our community. You will find the open house and the survey HERE.
By incorporating your input, the ADA Transition Plan will help to ensure future projects align closely with the needs and objectives of North Bend residents. Once complete, the ADA Transition Plan will identify physical barriers to accessibility within the North Bend public right-of-way. It will provide detailed descriptions of methods that can be used to make facilities accessible and it will develop a schedule to achieve full ADA compliance by removing barriers based on a prioritization analysis.
