[ARCHIVED] Shoreline use in North Bend - let's hear your thoughts!

Shoreline Access Survey

Residents know that as a highly livable mountain town, shorelines from the Middle and South Fork Snoqualmie River make up a special part of our community. They are a habitat for local wildlife, they help protect against erosion and filter pollutants, they are a source of breathtaking beauty, and some shorelines double as a place for local summer dips.

The City was awarded the Shoreline Public Access and Trail Plan Project grant by the Department of Ecology to support planning and planning-related efforts that advance climate resilience, improve the implementation of the Shoreline Master Program (SMP), and support local shoreline planning priorities.

Please consider taking a brief survey to share your feedback on shoreline access and use within the City of North Bend. Once complete, the Integrated Public Shoreline Access Plan will provide a cohesive network of access points and trails, enhancing recreational opportunities for residents and visitors.

To learn more about this project and the SMP, visit the SMP webpage. When complete, the SMP will provide improved communication in the area of shoreline jurisdiction, as regulated under NBMC 14.20. To view a map of shoreline jurisdiction, which includes the Middle and South Fork Snoqualmie River throughout city limits, areas 200 feet landward, associated wetlands, floodways and 200 feet of floodplain contiguous with floodways, visit the Shoreline Jurisdiction and Environment Designation Map
