[ARCHIVED] You're invited: community Arbor Day event in North Bend

Arbor Day

Mayor Miller will be proclaiming Friday, November 1 as Arbor Day in North Bend! Please join the City, Mountains to Sound Greenway (MTSG) and community for a planting event along the South Fork of the Snoqualmie River and Ribary Creek. From 2 to 4 p.m. we will work together to restore riparian habitat with native plantings in key locations along the river and creek.  

Park at the public Park and Ride, located at 301 W North Bend Way where you will see MTSG staff who will guide participants to the community planting project. 

This event is free and open to people of all ages, however, participants under 13 years of age must be accompanied by an adult. For safety, volunteers are required to wear:

  • Long pants (we’ll be working with tools, so no shorts!)
  • Sturdy, close-toed shoes (absolutely no sandals)
  • Gloves (provided)

Though not required, please consider bringing the following:

  • Warm layers
  • Rain gear
  • Big sack lunch
  • At least one full water bottle
